Yoon In-soo is a pioneering master of Korean Minhwa. Serving as the third president of the Korea Folk Painting Association from 1999 to 2000, he has dedicated his career to the revitalization and expansion of the genre. Through his modern reinterpretations of the symbolism and aesthetics embedded in traditional folk art, Yoon has successfully broadened its contemporary artistic scope.

Committed to nurturing the next generation of practitioners, he has mentored countless artists throughout his career. In 2010, he made history by establishing the Traditional Crafts Division—encompassing Minhwa, Buddhist Painting, and Seon/Zen Ink Painting—within the Korean Fine Arts Association. Serving as its inaugural chairman, he played a pivotal role in establishing Minhwa as an independently recognized genre of painting, later continuing his advocacy as Vice President.

Today, while preserving the enduring values of heritage, Yoon In-soo continues to bridge the past and present, creating works that resonate deeply with a contemporary global audience.
